This week was my birthday and to mark the occasion my mammy took me to the Lodge at Ashford Castle in Mayo for some Afternoon Tea. I had never been before, and given I only live about 40 minutes drive away I was shocked at myself.
We tried the new Picnic Afternoon Tea menu at The Lodge which I can say is a treat. It is served in a picnic basket and its full of lots of tempting treats, made using ingredients sourced from the Ashford estate.
My favourite was the ‘Free range Crème Brûlée’ served like a boiled egg with short bread for dipping. Such novelty and fun!
The service is excellent and the grounds around the castle and estate are just stunning. Well worth a visit.
What I wore:
T Shirt with pearl detail from Pennys, Bracelet is Rose Gold from Kate Spade
Glasses: Bvulgari from Brown Thomas
Jeans: Molly River Island
Do take a trip out to Ashford Castle if you are in the area, it is well worth a visit. The little village of Cong is also so cute!
